Technological evolution has made it possible that the same service may be delivered by means of multiple channels, including in the tourism sector. The present study proposes to present a bibliographic summary of the distribution channels in tourism and the impact of information technologies (IT) in these channels. Based on exploratory research, 24 scientific papers were analyzed with the intention of identifying a research structure concerning the channels of Brazilian tourism and IT. We observed that in Brazil, there is a lack of work concerning distribution channels in tourism, highlighting the management of these channels under the view of supply chains. Beyond this, these papers concentrate on two elements of the channels: means of lodging and hospitality, and travel agencies. These elements have used direct channels based on IT in order to support service activities and the commercialization of the tourist product.
