Abstract

Intellectual capital represents the value of knowledge produced over time, characterizing a competitive advantage. As for the field of study, this research intends to analyze its influence on the life cycle. The objectives focus on a bibliographical study of the intellectual capital and its guidelines and on the adoption of a management model, verifying its impact on the phases of the life cycle. As for the methodology, documental and bibliographical. In the results, a public domain company was used for measurement. Main findings and contributions: identify and measure the 8 guidelines and 21 items of intellectual capital. The impact produced on the stages of the life cycle and the qualitative and quantitative relationship of intellectual capital, on the life cycle in the results of companies. The intelligent management model pointed out the value of the intellectual capital items, which are extremely relevant to the business. It became evident that knowledge is the greatest intangible asset of entities focusing on their greatest asset, people (Human Resources).
