The objective proposed by the article is to develop a management model focused on reducing waste within the supply chain in civil construction. To achieve this goal, the Design Science Research (DSR) research method was used to create an artifact that would allow the difficulties encountered within the company to develop mechanisms to identify and reduce waste within the sector. The study was developed from ideas coming from Lean Construction and the Theory of Constraints, which, through bibliographic research and the author's professional knowledge guided the development of each step of the method. The developed artifact was named "Supply Management Model for Civil Construction" and consists, from the subdivision of the project planning, in activities that contribute to the elimination of bottlenecks and the reduction of waste within the chain. In addition, the artifact exemplifies and details each process of the method in order to discuss the results obtained.
