Analysis of quality of work life in the industrial sector during COVID-19

the pandemic had repercussions in various environments on a global basis, with repercussions on working conditions in the face of changes from health to labor legislation. Companies began to plan their production policies and employee management in the face of various legal restrictions in favor of maintaining collective health in their productive environments. The objective of this study was to evaluate aspects related to the Quality of Life at Work (QWL) of small, medium and large industries during the COVID-19 pandemic. Walton's (1973) eight-dimension model, a precursor in studies on QWL, was adopted, covering questions from the profile of respondents, scenario on QWL and evaluation of performance and global satisfaction. Of the variables investigated, 55.6% resulted in satisfaction and 44.4% resulted in dissatisfaction, considering a sample of 64 valid responses and a reliability of the research instrument of 92.51%. The social integration dimension obtained the highest value, reflecting the perception of employees with the actions that organizations took during the pandemic period. Among the dissatisfaction factors, the work dimension and total living space had the lowest rate, highlighting the desire for layoffs and layoffs and the development of anxiety and/or fatigue at work, considered factors that affected the quality of life of employees in due to the COVID-19 health crisis.Downloads
