The purpose of this article is to examine the literature on risk management in projects and to provide a robust and structured literature review on risk sources in project management. We developed a systematic review and we found 817 articles on the data bases. We selected 68 articles. Results show 538 sources of risk in projects. We categorized these sources on 25 constructs. This research helps project managers to identify risks prior to the start of the project; and allows to develop appropriate measures to reduce or mitigate risks at an early stage of a project.Downloads
