Analysis of the work process and simulation in a dairy company in the Alto Paranaíba mesoregion

All activities that occur in organizations can be considered as a form of transformation. These transformations, in general, aim to achieve value aggregation. A productive process is the sequence of activities that, always executed in the same way and in the same order, results in the intended product or service. The analysis of methods or work processes approaches techniques that submit to a detailed study each operation of a given task, with the objective of eliminating any element unnecessary to the operation and also to be able to determine the best and most efficient method to execute each operation of the task. Thus, the objective of this paper was to develop an analysis of the work process in a dairy company in the Alto Paranaíba mesoregion, in order to select a problematic process and propose effective solutions. Therefore, through this methodology and also using the simulation, it was identified as the most problematic stage of the macro productive process of the company and that generated a greater amount of unnecessary movements, times and queues, the process of packaging the mozzarella. Within this process, it was suggested to automate the sealing activity of the packaging / mozzarella assembly. The feasibility of this investment has been demonstrated through economic indicators such as EUAV and Payback, as well as higher productivity through simulation. This methodology is effective for a company that wants to analyze its processes in order to identify problems and develop effective solutions.
