There are several studies in the field of port research. However, there are gaps in the rese-arch on port logistics costs, mainly about the expenses incurred by the industries that use the ports to move their products. In this context, the objective of this study is to map logistics costs and calculate an indicator of expenses incurred to use port services to analyze their participation in the context of total logistic cost. Through a multi-stakeholder study, real data were collected on the logistic costs of a group of companies that use port services. The results show that, for some companies, the port costs incurred represent more than 30% of the total logistical costs. The difference between port costs from one company to another can be substantial. Statistical correlation tests did not establish a relationship between the logistics costs incurred by the port and the destination of the products.Downloads
