Economic evaluation of the application of the cleaner production in an effluent treatment station: case study in a mechanical metal company

This study aims to demonstrate, through the case study methodology, the economic evaluation of the application of the Cleaner Production at the Effluent Treatment Station of a small Brazilian metal mechanic company, in which the economic gain was R $ 4,994 , 67 per month obtained with an investment of R $ 4,560.00, demonstrating that the Cleaner Production provides, with little initial investment, positive economic results in the short term through the conscious use of water resources and taking into account the local environmental legislation that treats of industrial effluents, showing that the Cleaner Production is an instrument that allows to obtain economic gains through actions directed to the minimization of the impacts caused to the environment by the industrial production processes.Downloads
