The strategic planning of the transportation sector indicates the main guidelines for infrastructure investments to avoid, for example, the increase in costs associated with transports. Therefore, it is relevant to know the annual average daily traffic on roads, cargo transported, origin and destination of the vehicles. These data are obtained through traffic surveys, which include flows and origin and destination. Currently, the National Department of Transport Infrastructure plans a new national traffic survey in 300 points. Historically, the Brazilian Army has supported this activity by Military Organizations (OM). Thus, this paper presents a mathematical model for location-allocation of OM to traffic survey stations, taking into account constraints, which consider operational characteristics (capacity and availability) and spatial locations (covering) of each OM. Moreover, scenarios are proposed to evaluate the model in different combinations of parameters.Downloads
