An assessment of performance indicators of higher education teaching quality

Higher Education Institutions (HEI) are increasingly being demanded by companies and society to educate and prepare professionals with more competences and capable of interacting with the environment in a dynamic and systemic way. As a result, HEI assess the performance level of their faculty members. The aim of this paper is to identify which indicators of performance in higher education in Stricto Sensu post-graduation courses can be grouped and their influence on course quality. Multivariate statistical technique (Factor Analysis) was used for analyzing. The main result was grouping the indicators in six factors: “Doctorate”, “Books”, “Fostering 1”, “Fostering 2”, “Master”, and “Paper publishing”; the indicators in each factor help to improve the group, thereby enhancing higher education quality.Downloads
