The pressure from society regarding organizations orienting businesses in relation to sustainable development has driven the emergence of new laws, regulations, international commitments and standards, which are contributing to the construction of a regulatory framework for sustainable production. This article aims to define a methodology based on content analysis for the study of the regulatory framework for sustainable production. The presented methodology was based on strategies of content analysis and utilized the software Atlas.TI to operationalize the process. The results present a framework with the purpose of analyzing documents and the application of the model on a set of standards, guidelines and reports related to sustainable production. The study also seeks to contribute to the field of Production Engineering by deepening the content analysis of the regulatory framework, seeking to identify guidelines, recommendations and indicators for sustainability in operations. In addition, by the views of the value chain and maturity levels, the analyzed documents may be associated with the needs of sustainable operations, highlighting general guidance and strategic approaches provided by the content analysis of the content of the standards, guidelines and reports oriented to sustainability, helping in linking those documents with organizational strategy.Downloads
