This paper presents a method of non-parametric data analysis which has been used to evaluate differences on product managers’ perceptions about product development process critical success factors in the Brazilian automotive industry. Starting from a bibliographic research, eight hypotheses have been tested with managers from two automotive companies. The data collected from interviews and questionnaires have been analyzed by median test, and sign test, showing differences among perceptions. The combination of these techniques enabled more robust data analysis and presented a contribution of a method that can be replicated in other studies that have to deal with ordinal scale data comparison.Downloads
