Repeated exposures to excessive sound levels can lead to noise-induced hearing loss and voice disorders. Several studies have been conducted in order to suggest best means to control noise. Among the professionals involved in the hearing loss prevention are the industrial engineers and operations managers. This study also suggests that many of the workers that perform their job in a noisy place have to raise their voices to be heard over the sound environment, which could cause voice disorders. Therefore, some considerations have been made about the aspects of noise control projects and ways to prevent hearing loss and voice disorders in a noisy environment.

Keywords: excessive sound levels, hearing loss, voice disorders.

ER -
