Resumo

A crescente importância da sustentabilidade nas cadeias de suprimento é elemento central dessa pesquisa, aliada ao aumento da complexidade das cadeias por aspectos geográficos, políticos e comportamentais. O objetivo dessa pesquisa foi examinar o papel das práticas comportamentais e técnicas e a importância delas para o desempenho organizacional e nos riscos de sustentabilidade. Nessa pesquisa, com 152 empresas, foi realizada uma modelagem de equações estruturais (SEM) identificando o teste das hipóteses do modelo estrutural. As principais descobertas da pesquisa são consistentes com o modelo de hipótese e destacam uma influência positiva das práticas comportamentais nas práticas técnicas e no desempenho em sustentabilidade nas empresas. Este estudo contribui para os gestores, oferecendo uma visão da gestão dos riscos de sustentabilidade na cadeia de suprimentos. O estudo contribui ainda para a literatura, apresentando o conhecimento sobre a relação entre os riscos, desempenho e as práticas de sustentabilidade.

Pesquisador, professor e consultor empresarial, é Professor Adjunto do Instituto de Ciência e Tecnologia da UNIFAL-MG, campus Poços de Caldas. Possui Pós-doutorado em Engenharia de Produção, Doutorado em Sustentabilidade Social e Desenvolvimento (UAb-Lisboa) e em Engenharia de Produção (Unimep), além de Mestrado em Desenvolvimento Regional e Bacharelado em Ciências Econômicas (Uniara) e Administração (PUC).

Professor Assistente na Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra.
