Implementação da manufatura enxuta e os comportamentos das lideranças: uma pesquisa exploratória

Resumo

A implementação da Manufatura Enxuta ou Lean Manufacturing (LM) implica mudanças fundamentais nos sistemas gerenciais das empresas. Os líderes desempenham um papel crucial no estabelecimento dessa mudança enxuta, uma vez que são responsáveis por influenciar indivíduos e equipes na execução de objetivos estratégicos. Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar empiricamente a relação entre a orientação comportamental de líderes de diferentes níveis hierárquicos e o estágio do roteiro de implementação de LM, bem como analisar a influência das variáveis contextuais de liderança. O método de pesquisa proposto é composto por aspectos qualitativos e quantitativos, uma vez que combina os resultados de entrevistas semi-estruturadas com especialistas em LM e um levantamento com 225 líderes de diferentes empresas Brasileiras que estão passando por uma implementação de LM. Os resultados indicam que o contexto importa com relação à orientação do estilo de liderança ao longo do roteiro de imeplementação enxuta, embora nem todas as variáveis influenciem na mesma magnitude.
